The Entrepreneurship development model is largely determined by its environmental conditions. Monitor has identified four different models of how entrepreneurship develops within specific economic and industrial settings.
Mr. Joseph B. Fuller, CEO of Monitor Group, pointed out that the "local hero" model has been a typical type in China for the past 30 years or so. With the industry consolidation and the business moving to the next level, China will see more "anchor firm" type of entrepreneurship emerging.
