The joint conference on Sustainability: a Strategy for Growth and Innovation, which was hosted by China Enterprise Confederation, China Business Council on Sustainable Development and Monitor Group, successfully closed on Wednesday, Oct 15th, 2008, at the Kempinski Hotel in Beijing.
At the conference, officials from SASAC and Ministry of Environmental Protection, leaders from CEC and CBCSD, senior executives of Monitor Group, and chief executives from high-profiled local companies and MNCs exchanged ideas on sustainable development and how an integrated sustainability strategy can create growth, innovation and competitive advantage. Mr. Maarten Kelder, President of Monitor Group Asia, Mr. Ed Hotard, Chairman of Monitor Group China, and Dr. Thierry Delmarcelle, President of Monitor Group China, made impressive presentations on the issues. As participants believed, the content presented at the conference will be of significant value to local and foreign companies in China as they address environmental sustainability as a key element of their business strategy.
